 What type of song am I composing? For my composition, I am composing a horror song.

Am I working alone or in a group why? I am working alone for composition because I think it is easier and faster to work when you don't need to worry about group members.

Which part of the composition am I writing first? The first part of the composition that I am writing is an intro that starts slow and then builds up faster and then there is a moment of eerie silence before a loud sound plays and then the other parts of the song start that I will be writing soon.

What part am I working on this week? This week I am working on the second part of the song and I am also making sure the first part is good.

Update.

The buildup at the start of the song is now finished and the second part is well underway and I will be finished very soon I am also starting the third part of the song which will most likely be the final part there may be a small part after it though to end the song. The song, in general, will be finished soon.

Y11 Music Performance

The song that I chose for my music performance was allegretto, I do not have a link to this song because my computer does not allow me to but there is some information about it when you scroll down.

I chose this song because I thought it sounded nice and had a good easy tune to learn making it a good song for what I was doing.

Am I happy with my final product. I am not very happy about my final product. When I was practicing the song it sounded good however when I started to perform in front of other people I was not good and kept on making mistakes when doing it so it was not that great.

What did I find challenging about this piece. I found the left-hand parts of this song to be challenging because of the way I had to play them, they were uncomfortable and were not very fun to play and this made it more challenging to learn.

My performance goal for next time I do it. Next time I do the song I am going to focus more when practicing it so it sounds good for the audience I am also going to try to learn some of the next pages of the song to make it longer rather than just a short boring piece.

The air was full of noise and smoke

• This is past tense

• It was used to show that the day was gloomy, dark and all-round horrible

• I think it worked well as when saying the air was full of noise shows how noisy it was

I was quite nervous

• It was used to show the reader how scared and nervous the writer was

• It worked well to show how the writer felt about the activity he/she was about to do

As the river finally came into view, we found ourselves a small clearing

The story The Rivers Pawn is written using first person and past tense. This is used to show what the writer was feeling at the time and that it was in the past.

How does tone work in film. Tone is when a film or parts of a film are contrasted for certain scenes, for example in a horror film there might be a dark tone.


How does an over the shoulder shot work, an over the shoulder shot is when two people are talking in a film and the camera is over 1 persons shoulder so you can see the talking it can also switch people and when it does it goes from the left to the right shoulder to see the person.

The byestander effect

The bystander effect

What is the bystander effect and why do people do it? Say someone needs help and there is another person nearby that other person will usually help the person that needs help but when there is a group of people someone is less likely to step on and help and if they do it usually takes a while this is a physiological effect that humans have called the bystander effect.

When someone needs help people will easily help them because their mind know that they need help but when there is a group of people it works differently it works differently because your mind is thinking that you should help but you feel embarrassed to help in front of others most people in the group will all have this effect and this is what they will be thinking two and because of this nobody gets up to help them even though you want to lots of people do help bust most of them help after a while rather then just helping because of the effect, however when you are in a small group or it is just you you are more likely to help because you do not feel as embarrassed 

There is also no way to stop this effect so you will always have it and be embarrassed to help someone if there is a group around you however it is not just because you are embarrassed because there are other things that happen two.

Combustion Experiment

What did I need, Candle, Red food coloring, Water, a plate and a beaker.


What was the experiment about and what was I trying to do or find out, The experiment I did was to test combustion with a candle and water I was testing how combustion works and what it does.

What happened during the experiment, When I did the experiment we lit the candle on a plate filled with water and then put a beaker over the candle with the beaker over it went out and the water started to rise up into the beaker.

Why did it do this, This happened because it was a complete combustion when the candle (fuel) was put into the water with the beaker on it it reacted with the oxygen and used it all up this meant that there was no oxygen and the water and because of this the candle went out because it could not burn and the water also started to rise up because of the oxygen getting sucked up.
